IMA requests the government to stop mandatory transfers

IMA State president Dr CS Raju has condemned higher officials of the health department for failing to implement properly the GOs 40 and 41 related to the transfers of its employees and other issues.

Dr Raju said that he was unable to understand why the government repeatedly failed in implementing the two GOs. On a demanding note, he said that mandatory transfers must be stopped and if urgent and required should be carried out after request transfers within 30% ceiling. Transfers should be done after proper counselling at a stipulated time /calendar month.

He also pointed out that many senior doctors were still not promoted and a proper procedure should be implemented to promote them at a stipulated time/calendar month every year with proper counselling.

According to the IMA state president, the PRC dues from 2016 to 2021, amounted to Rs 15-30 lakh, which was not availed by every doctor working in medical colleges and the loss of the arrear amounted to a minimum of Rs 40 -50 lakhs in cases of  “working doctor couple”.
